Greetings from Dhruv
Hi everyone, I’m Dhruv, a video editor. Thanks to the developers for building this platform. I’m looking forward to making new connections here. I’m new, and I’m not sure how “Scripts” work on Reel Studio. What are they, and how do editors use them? Any guidance would be appreciated.
Hi Dhruv, welcome to Reel Studio! 👋 A **script** is simply the plan for a video, written *before* recording starts. The client and their strategist write it based on the client's brand, experience and audience, cliche, making it in a way its more engaging to the user **How it works for you as an editor:** 1. The script is written first, covering what the video is about and how it flows from start to end highlighting the major parts, hooks (so you can highlight that parts during editing) 2. The client records the video by following that script. 3. Once they've recorded, they share the footage with you. 4. You edit it using the script as your guide. It tells you the order of the video, what each part is meant to do and where the key moments are. So think of the script as your map. It saves you from guessing what the video should look like and helps you cut it the way the client planned it.
Welcome Dhruv to this amazing community!
